Polite and prompt service, a little pricey but good food, nice size portions, and the outside sidewalk style café `was very cozy and friendly. I would recommend giving Old Heritage Tavern a try!

This place is always crowded which is a good indicator of it's product. A quaint New England tavern with very food food and atmosphere. I like the Melissa's Salad with added salmon.
This was my 1st time at Old Heritage Tavern as I was visiting from out of town. We were seated at the large outdoor picnic table with several other patrons of whom I felt compelled to ask if they minded our sitting with them. “No, please make yourself comfortable” was the response.
The gal at the head of our picnic table had an overloaded platter of something fried so we couldn’t help but ask….. “Fish and chips” she said “and they’re marvelous!”
This is my go-to place whenever visiting Lenox and Tanglewood. It's not a fancy or upscale place (especially compared to other joints in Lenox), but it provides comfort food and comfort drink, at seemingly the same prices as ten years ago when I first visited. Try a beer from Berkshire Brewery here; the New England clam chowder and the salads are also very good. Sometimes the servers get overwhelmed due to business getting busy, but they do their best and the meal works out just fine.
Lunch was terrific as we chatted with our new friends. My buddy had the Turkey wrap and I had the Spinach Salad with Salmon. He said the wrap was very good and I found the salad and salmon very fresh and such a big portion, it was almost too much. Delicious!
