The owners are amazingly friendly and happy to assist in any way and more than willing to talk history about the inn or local stuff to do. Right across the street is a pretty church and behind that a park with several hiking trails. 10/10 would stay again in
Tom and Debbie threw an impromptu wine and cheese get together before we went out for dinner. All guests were included in a firelight celebration of our mom. It was great fun. Breakfast is fabulous, you won't go hungry! Pet friendly rooms too. Can't say enough, thanks Tom and Debbie for a special trip.
We recently stayed in the McDonald room with our dog and it was perfect! Easy access for dog walks plus a warm and welcoming room. All the meals were delicious and the creme brulee French toast was outstanding! Can't wait to return.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Beautiful historic inn, amazing food, wonderful owners. We found this place last minute and managed to snag their last room. There are 15 rooms, 2 of which are in a separate building; the carriage house. We stayed there in the MacDonald room. Loved the separate entrance with porch and the room was beautiful; 4 poster bed, fridge, mini-keurig, shower stall.
I went to Birchwood with my dog for a night and the experience couldnt be any better. From the room to the hospitality, to the food, the time spent there was the absolute best. i cant recommend this place enough!
We have been going here for the last 7 years when it was owned by Ellen. The new owners are lovely and have continued with Ellen's delicious breakfasts and special touches. You will enjoy the town of Lenox and this wonderful inn!
Breakfast is included. Menu for the day was baked pear and then creme brulee french toast with strawberries and bacon. So freaking good. There is also a Butler pantry kept stocked with tea, coffee, and something sweet to munch on. There was also cider when we were there.
