The inn is in a convenient location, walkable to most of the restaurants, shops, and sites in Lenox. It is quiet and the pool is fantastic. I didn't like the decor: it was too cluttered for my taste. We also overheard the owner responding rudely to someone who asked a question about the wifi because the information was in the room booklet. Yeah, it's annoying to get asked the same questions over and over, but that's not a reason to be rude, especially when you work in customer service.
As a woman traveling solo to a place I had never been I found myself very comfortable and able to cocoon and rest after a difficult year. My room was delightful and quiet, the public areas clearly there for people to use and relax. The host was as my title states is responsible for creating this atmosphere and his wife on the one chance I had to tap to her also treats even new guests with warmth. The other guests who share breakfasts and select the communal tables instead of the smaller ones contribute to feeling of being among friends. Many of the conversations continued well after the breakfast was over. While some of the guests were new, many have been back multiple times. Breakfast was satisfying and well prepared. My room was very comfortable and immaculately clean as was the ensuite bathroom. It was a relaxing and restful place to stay. I particularly enjoyed the quiet at night which contributed to a good night's sleep. As a solo woman, I felt secure and safe. Next list I hope to use the pool and get to see the sights,
This summer was our third stay at Hampton Terrace and we enjoyed it immensely. This time we stayed in a king suite, which had its own fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and refrigerator, along with a private front porch looking onto the lovely pool. Breakfasts were delicious, location perfect, and staff are charming. We look forward to a return in the future!
My husband and I were very fortunate to have stayed at the Hampton Terrace Bed and Breakfast Inn. Our hosts, Stan and Susan Rosen, could not do enough for us. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home immediately. The rooms were beautiful, large, immaculately clean, wonderful beds and a large bathroomn. I was able to relax after a hard day in our individual jacuzzi in the room. The attention to every detail added to the luxurious experience. Stan and Susan were very knowledgeable about the area and went out of their way to give us many options for our stay. Unfortunately, our stay was not long enough. We plan on returning in the fall and be cozy and turn on the fireplace in the room. The pool was very inviting and our hosts even had baskets of towels conveniently located for your dip.
Would highly recommend for a long weekend.
