The Victorian look and feel in every room is what makes this place amazing. I've never felt so at home at place I was paying to stay at.
We have been coming here for 17 years. Our children grew up here, and, for us and them, it's like coming home every summer.
We will be back.
A short walk to all of the shops and restaurants in Lenox, you couldn't ask for a better location. Lenox is a great walking town.
The breakfast each day were just the right portion for me, not too heavy and yet it doesn't leave you hungry, and the food itself was so, so tasty. The only thing we noticed was that the brownie and chocolate cookies (both chocolate-based treats) were crispy instead of fudge-y, but maybe that's just the way the recipes were supposed to be.
A peaceful oasis in the Berkshires! It's always wonderful to stay at the Roodwood Inn and explore the Berkshires. We had a friends and family reunion there this weekend and the hospitality was wonderful. The rooms are varied and charming and innkeeper Amy was a perfect host!
Overall, I would love to go back again, and I do recommend this inn if you are looking for a welcoming, intimate location for an elopement or small wedding.

We eloped at the Rookwood Inn this past weekend and had a fabulous time. The innkeeper Amy and her staff were super friendly and welcoming. Our room (ended up in the Audubon) is tastefully decorated. It is a house with history, but you can tell the enormous time and effort devoted into keeping the b&b running through the small details, e.g. the wooden floor, clawfoot tub, and even the corners of the closet were dustless and perfectly clean.
The Rookwood is a beautiful building. Our room, 21, was terrific. The breakfast was delicious and Amy and her staff will tell you all of the places to go in the area.
The ceremony was sweet and meaningful, and I have asked Amy for a copy of it to keep with us.
